Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like Maxine Waters, however I think it’s important to get the quote correct. She didn’t tell Americans to go to hell, just the Tea Party. Unfortunately, not the entire country has woken up and joined the cause…but I’m hopeful!

@Lisa – the Tea Party is America…

Who exactly do you think the TEA Partiers ARE? Russians? If you think it’s important to get the correct quote, why aren’t you complaining to the news stations as to why they cut off her last sentence from what she said? ” … AND … I intend to help them get there!”

The Tea Party is made up of Americans who are concern for the future of this great country. Telling the Tea Party to “Go To Hell” is the same as telling the concerned Americans to go to hell.

WTF…how could anyone elect a person like this to serve the American people? After all she is suppose to represent all races, and people of that state….

Maxine Waters representing all races and people of California? That’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time.

How do they get elected? That’s easy, the state legistlators draw the Congressional Districts and when Democrats control the state legistlative branches, they make sure that the Congressional Districts protect their ilk. GRASS ROOTS POLITICS (aka. TEA PARTY), get involved at the state and local levels if you want to change Washington, D.C.

She is welcome to return to the home of her ancestors anytime. Maybe we should send her a one way ticket

Actually the CBC visited Cuba and thought Mr. Castro has been doing a wonderful job. I suggest a one way ticket to Cuba and let her enjoy the fruits of Socialism first hand.

The idea of Maxine Waters representing all races and all the people of California is the funniest thing I’ve heard today. Thanks for the chuckle! Can you imagine the uproar if a Tea Party person said that the Black Caucus could go to hell. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would be lining up the protest marches as we write. GBG

Ignorant Voters put these kind of people into office term after term because they do not do the research on the candidates before voting. They are too busy playing video games and watching TV. The Black Americans still can’t figure out that the original Democratic(Whig) Party were the ones that put their ancestors into Slavery in the first place.

I never thought I would live to see the day that an elected politician would be bold enough to tell voters to “Go to Hell” This woman has obviously outlived her usefullness!

No one seems to understands the logic of all tea party members being americans, but not all americans being tea party members. Yet another sentence quoted by american right-wing media out of the context of the quote

And by refusing to participate in government, are the so-called Tea Party folks not telling the rest of us to go to hell? A majority of people in this country voted for Obama, how is it justifiable then for a non-majority to completely block any and all of his policies? How am I, a person who voted for Obama, represented by people who won’t vote for a single Democratic proposal simply because it is coming from the Democracts? How am I represented by people who want to undo everything the person I voted for has put into place? Get off your high-horses, people… Tea Party is not America, Tea Party is a minority of America and thus should, all things being equal, only see a small fraction of their agenda succeed. If more people agreed, then it would make sense that more of the agenda proceeds. As it stands, the majority people do not agree. At all.
